This is the procedure to manually restore the roomMaster database if it cannot be restored using RMConfig.


Log in to SCJView and click on SQL Anywhere 12.



Go to the Services tab, right-click on the roommaster service and select Stop.



Once the service is stopped, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the location of the backups and select the appropriate one. This is usually c:\rmbackup->roommaster. Double-click to open it and you will see the list of folders. Open the folder you wish to restore from, highlight both files and select copy


Then go to the location of the live database and paste both files. The location is usually d:\roommaster\rmdb.


Once this is done, go back to SCJVIEW and Start the roommaster service that was previously stopped. You can then proceed to open roomMaster.


NB: This can only be done from the server.
