Occasionally, you may see a warning message such as the one below indicating that a Reservation or Folio is in use.

The most common reason a record may be locked is because it is in use by the same user and is hidden behind another window, or because someone else on the network has the record open.  If the user mentioned in the message is a colleague, you should wait until they exit the record.

If it is your User ID mentioned in the message, you should not simply unlock the reservation or folio record unless you know a specific reason why the record would be locked. This would include the computer freezing or shutting down unexpectedly, a sudden power outage, etc.

Unlocking records that are open elsewhere can cause data loss. Therefore, if you were recently in a reservation or folio but cannot find it, you should close all the roomMaster screens until the reservation or folio is seen; or better still, use the Window button in roomMaster to reveal all windows that are open, and select the record from there.

The screen below shows you how to do this.

This would eliminate the potential of trying to unlock records that are actually open on your computer.
